Memorial House of Grigor Prlicev

Macedonia prides itself on many brilliant people who contributed in the rich culture of the country. One of them is the talented and most productive Macedonian writer Grigor Prlichev. He was born in Ohrid in 1830, a teacher and a writer whose works are example of his love towards writing and his incredible talent.
Today there is a monument in his birth place which remembers and retells the story of this great writer and that monument is the house where he was born. The Memorial House of Prlichev is situated on the street which also bears his name-Grigor Plrichev Street. The house although renewed and restored still possesses the splendid charm of the beautiful and old architectural style it once had. Because of this brilliant writer every year in Ohrid the event Prlicev Oratories occur, part of the activities connected to this event are held in the Memorial House and it is usually an afternoon dedicated to a literary reading.
