Get ready to discover the secret monuments of this ancient city that are buried with the passing of time. In this tour you will see a variety of small unknown churches and the most famous spots of the city. Both shape the important history of Thessaloniki. We are going to start at Kamara and head to our first destination which used to he the horseracing arena where people would gather and watch the horses and chariots race, like people do now with modern football! But there is a dark history behind what seems like a peaceful quiet street nowadays. Our next stop will be right next to Agia Sofia one of the biggest churches in Thessaloniki. However there are underground catacombs ready to be explored next to this famous church. After we get the first taste of this amazing experience we will visit the Ottoman baths or Paradise hamam as it was called. Apart from spending time underground, it was also common to have public baths everywhere in Thessaloniki! Of course we can't miss the Holy protector of the city Saint Dimitrios. Everyone knows about this famous church which is the most important symbol of early Christianity but who knows what's lied underneath the church?
